A wonderful evening along the St. Johns River, photographing the celebration of a traditional Jewish wedding in Jacksonville, Florida. Bride and Groom were married along a calm St. John’s on a beautiful Sunday afternoon surrounded by friends and family from all over the United States. The love story of Cheryl and Shaul first began while travelling in Israel, where they connected both spiritually and in friendship. Their love and kindness for each other was obvious and carried over on to everyone around them, making the day all the more enjoyable.
The bride showed her creative side by putting many of her own touches on the wedding decorations and food. The backyard was filled with hanging mason jars, floating candles, and flowers complimenting the bright color pallete of the wedding. Beyond the self made decorations, the bride also created homemade marmalade for wedding favors and a delicious FRESH lavender lemonade (which Julie and I loved!).
Thank you to Cheryl and Shaul for allowing us to capture their special day and being so welcoming to us. Congratulations again and best wishes! Friends and family leave some love for the couple in the comments section at the bottom of the page. Thanks and Enjoy! Mazel tov!!!
The night ended with an energetic backyard wedding reception, which included food from Margo’s Kosher Catering in Jacksonville Florida, a belly dancer performance for the newly married couple, and of course a beautiful sunset along the St. John’s River. What was your favorite photo from the above selection? Let me know in the comments section below 🙂 Thanks!
